Here is the first album from this excellent Dutch band. "Die Derwaert Gaen En Keeren Niet" is in the continuity of the first demo "Moerasghesomp" (review) and confirm all the good I thought about Walpurgisnacht. For those who never heard about this band; it was formed in 1996 but their first release dates back from 2003. Note that the drummer Marchosias is a member of Cirith Gorgor. As for the music, the combo play a raw and melancholic Black Metal with an epic touch and reminds me the Norwegian scene of the early 90's. But thanks to its particular melodies and its thrashing riffs, the band manage to create its own atmosphere and the song "Nachtgebroed" is the best example. A band that really deserves your attention!
