ETERNAL MAJESTY "Night shadows" MCD Ltd to 500 (Rising Darkness/Diahableries) 2005

The French black metallers of ETERNAL MAJESTY are back with a new release 3 years after the excellent "From war to darkness". "Night shadows" contains 3 new tracks interspersed with interludes giving a special atmosphere to this mini cd. "Don't follow me" is a fast raw song, "Night evilness" with its epic touch reminds me the great "Le christ roi" ("From war to darkness"), and "Crossing the streams of inferno" has a 80's touch à la BATHORY (first and second album). The 3 songs are great (with an impressive drummer), really inspired and are representative of the musical excellence of this band. The production is harscher than on "From war to darkness" giving a more old school sound and fits perfectly to ETERNAL MAJESTY. The artwork is fantastic and we can notice a new logo. Brilliant, but it's not a surprise! A release that I know I will listen to repeatedly! Hope to hear more new stuff soon!
