BAPTISM "Wisdom and hate" (Limited to 400 copies, Northern Heritage) 2004

The good thing with a label such as Northern Heritage is that you're never disappointed with its releases. This label is only working with great and sincere bands (Satanic Warmaster, Ildjarn, Inferi, Uncreation's dawn, Clandestine Blaze, Baptism...) and offers all the time high quality stuff (musically as well as visually). "Wisdom and hate" is another masterpiece released by the Finnish label. Lord Sargofagian (also drummer of Calvarium and session drummer for Satanic Warmaster on "Opferblut") has written 5 hymns that make "Wisdom and hate" one of the best black metal release of 2004! The side "Wisdom" contains 4 tracks in the vein of Satanic Warmaster but with rawer vocals (if you like this band you will praise Baptism!). The side "Hate" has a different (rawer) production and the only song of the side, "Eliterian legion" is simply great with its 80's touch. We can even hear some clear vocals during the chorus. The vinyl ends with a long outro divided into different parts. Eliterian black metal. Highly recommended!
