URN "Dawn of the devastation"

URN "Dawn of the devastation" CD (No Sign Of Life) 2006

Here is the successor of "666 Megatons"! I was really eager to listen to this new opus and I'm not disappointed. Although we recognize quite easily URN (especially the vocals of Sulphur), there are several differences between "Dawn of the devastation" and its predecessor. The production is less powerful but clearer and sounds more old school. This fits perfectly to the new songs because URN has emphasized the Thrash and Speed/thrash side of its music. The best examples are tracks like "Possessed by satan", "Bestial Evil" and "Total hate". But for me the best moments of this album are "Massgravedesecration", the great mid tempo "Second warning" and the Heavy/Speed Metal hymn à la RUNNING WILD (84-87 period) "Heavy as hell". "Dawn of the devastation" is much more varied than "666 Megatons" and is a real tribute to the 80's Speed/Thrash Metal scene! For me, one of the best album of 2006. Just buy this opus, call your friends and tell us to bring lots of booze!
