UNCREATION'S DAWN/BAPTISM Split 7"" ltd to 500 (Hammer of hate) 2004

A split 100% "made in Finland". The two bands are coming from the country of the thousand lakes as well as the unleashing label responsible for this release, Hammer of hate (the label of Molestor Kadotus from Calvarium). Baptism with "Courtenance carved by centuries" proves once again that the Finnish black metal scene is apart from the other black metal scenes. The cold atmosphere that bands like Satanic Warmaster, Calvarium, Baptism, Inferi... manage to create is unique. And this song is not an exception! We recognize easily the vocals of Lord Sargofagian and the use of keyboards transcend this track who sounds typically Finnish. Black metal as its best! The performance of Uncreation's Dawn is brilliant as well! "Hateful assault" is a raw death/black song, very efficient with a 80's feeling. The mid-tempo parts and the vocals remind me the mighty Asphyx. But of course Uncreation's Dawn has still this touch à la Hellammer/Celtic Frost. The fast tempos are destructive. Really powerful and bestial! Great split!!!
